Hamilton County receives funds annually from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Decentralization Program to be re-granted to County non-profit organizations for the arts and cultural programming. These funds are administered in Hamilton County by the Arts Center. This money is granted for programs in any art discipline including: architecture, photography, dance, theatre, visual arts, crafts, or music. Non-profit groups of all kinds, and committees recognized as official arms of local government may apply for the funds. Fax:(518)352-7333 The Arts Center is chartered by the New York Board of Regents as a private, non-profit educational corporation and provides students with college-level educational opportunities in the form of internships. Hiking, boating and many other recreational opportunities abound in the area, and the world-renowned Adirondack Museum lies just one mile north.
