We're your four-season vacation
destination
Located in the heart of New York
State's Adirondack Park, with its many forests, lakes, and mountains. In the Spring, it's
time for the rush of whitewater rafting, kayaking, discovering a trillium in bloom,
casting a line, or seeing a whitetail fawn.
Summer is
filled with hiking, canoeing, fishing, boating,
skiing, windsurfing and lots of time to relax and breathe the fresh air of this true
wilderness. Plan to visit a museum
and historical Adirondack landmarks. Go to a festival, and search for treasures in our shops and galleries.
As any leaf-peeker will tell you, our
region takes on a whole different color in the Fall
. Celebrate with us when the rich green of
summer turns to red and orange and gold. Spectacular foliage and crisp air are the
backdrop as you hike, bike, picnic, and enjoy the scenery. Later on, opportunities for
hunters abound in this vast park preserve. Don't miss out on any of the wonderful sights
and adventures of autumn in Indian Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, and Sabael.
When the last leaf falls, Winter is on its way. And when it
arrives, Indian Lake, Blue Mountain and Sabael become the perfect place for playing in the
snow and finding warm hospitality. Ski down a slope, ride a snowmobile
or a toboggan, catch the bumps on a snowboard, ice skate, snowshoe, ice fish, or cross
country ski. Be sure to be here for our yearly Winter Festival, in 2003 it will be
February 15, 16, & 17!
There's so much more. You'll find Indian Lake, Blue Mountain and Sabael
a friendly community with a fine selection of lodging, restaurants, stores, businesses,
services and a wide variety of attractions.
The best the Adirondacks has to offer
Indian Lake, Blue Mountain
Lake and Sabael together comprise the centerpiece vacationland of the Adirondack Park, a 6
million acre natural sanctuary of public and private land, which stretches over nearly a
third of New York State.
This national treasure stands today as the largest
wilderness
preserve outside of Alaska and is one of the most successful conservation efforts in
history. Our region is within an easy day's drive of most major cities in the Northeast.
