Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake

New Season, New Experiences

The renamed Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake is open for its 67th season, offering the most immersive and diverse visitor experience in its six decades.

Perched on 121 sprawling acres overlooking stunning Blue Mountain Lake, the Adirondack Experience tells the compelling story of the region's past, present and future. Explore our 24 galleries and historic buildings, meet boat builders and basket makers, hike and discover birds, bugs and breathtaking forest life – there's so much to do.

New in 2024: Trail Makers

2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Northville-Placid Trail (NPT). The museum is thrilled to honor this milestone with a new temporary exhibition that will open this year in the Woods & Waters exhibit. The new exhibition, Trail Makers: 100 Years of the Northville-Placid Trail, will feature works from the museum’s art, photo, guidebook, and map collections and connect directly to objects on view permanently, especially stories about hiking and trails as well as the beloved Adirondack figure Noah John Rondeau. The exhibition will open May 24, 2024 and close at the end of the 2025 season.
