Where to Chill Out and Where to Warm Up

We get lots of snow here in the winter, so why not get out and enjoy it? Here is a list of places where you can go to chill out and have some fun, and some places to shake that chill off with a nice hot beverage.

Inlet

Chill out

A snow covered cross-country ski trail with snow on the pines

Head to Fern Park in Inlet for all of your outdoor winter fun needs! 22km of groomed cross-country ski trails await, 2km of which are lit each night until 10 p.m. for a nice nighttime ski. There is a covered skating rink with heated bathroom and a warming room for those extra chilly days. There is even a sledding hill, perfect to bring your toboggans and tubes! Pedals & Petals has all your ice skating needs from rentals, to skates to purchase, to sharpening for the pair you already own!

Warm up

A brown building with a cafe during a snowy day

Fridays and Saturdays you can head to Tamarack Cafe for a coffee or a nice hot cocoa, and grab a bite for breakfast or lunch while you're at it. Or if you need something a little stronger to warm you up, you can head to Screamen' Eagle for one of their 50 beers on top and a steaming order of crispy hot wings.
